Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
1. The agreement
These terms govern your use of lawyerbase.ai (“lawyerbase”, the “Service”), operated by Ideasets Teknoloji Yapay Zeka Ticaret A.Ş., a company incorporated in the Republic of Türkiye (“Ideasets”, “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a firm or company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. Not legal advice — the boundary that matters
lawyerbase is a legal-intelligence platform: it researches, reasons, and cites authorities so that a human can verify and decide. It does not provide legal advice, and no output of the Service creates a lawyer–client relationship. Outputs are informational starting points — sourced and designed to be verified, but never a substitute for the judgment of a qualified lawyer admitted in the relevant jurisdiction.
If you are a legal professional, you remain fully responsible for verifying every authority before relying on it, as your professional obligations require. If you are not, treat the Service as a way to understand your situation and prepare better questions — then consult a lawyer before acting on anything of consequence.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in the app. Notify us at contact@lawyerbase.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. The free period
The Service is currently offered free of charge, for a limited time, while we open access. We will announce pricing before any charge applies — nothing becomes paid silently, and no payment details are collected during the free period. We may set fair-use limits to keep the Service fast for everyone.
5. Your content
The questions you ask and the documents you upload remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process them and return your answer. We do not train AI models on your content, and your conversation history lives in your own browser — see the Privacy Notice. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — do not submit another person's confidential material without authority to do so.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service to violate any law; attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems; scrape, resell, or systematically extract the Service or its corpus; misrepresent Service output as the advice of a licensed lawyer; or upload malicious code. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other users at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — its software, design, and content we authored — belongs to Ideasets. Legal texts (statutes, judgments, treaties) belong to the public record; our value is in the reasoning, retrieval, and verification built around them. You may use Service outputs in your own work, including professional work, with no attribution required.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. The law changes daily and no system can promise completeness; where the law is unsettled, the Service is designed to say so rather than feign certainty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ideasets is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions taken in reliance on Service output without the verification the Service is built to enable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under Turkish consumer protection law where it applies.
9. Changes to the Service or these terms
We improve the Service continuously and may change or discontinue features. For material changes to these terms we will update the date above and notify you in the product; continued use after notice is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan), without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection venues that apply where you live. We would rather fix a problem than litigate it — write to us first.
